Hiroshi Senju is a famous Japanese painter.
At the Venice Biennale in 1995, he received special awards along with Italy’s Eye Zio, Austria’s Richard Crisse, and Korea’s Jeon Su-cheon.
He was the first Japanese artist to receive an award at the Venice Biennale and received much attention from the world art community as well as from Japan. Since then, it has been exhibited in Korea’s Gwangju, Chengdu, China, and Milan biennale in Switzerland, Basel, Australia, and New York. He also has an art museum with his own name, which is rare as an active artist.
Hiroshi Senju’s work world is represented by a waterfall. His world of work is quiet and pious. Considering water as the source of life, standing in front of a waterfall that he painted naturally leads to meditation.
Hiroshi Senju also received attention from many fans of BTS as he picked RM, the leader of BTS, as his favorite Japanese writer in past interviews. RMs is known for their love of art, often making surprise visits to museums despite their busy schedules. RM recently visited the exhibition by Kim Bo-hee at the Kumho Museum of Art.
